►It has been fun keeping up with the cancellations and rescheduling of events. The Turner Center could not be sure of when it would be able to open for business and cancelled the plans to load dirt onto the arena floor and thus all of the agility trials planned for the Turner Center in Arcadia have either been cancelled or moved to Bratty Paws. Calusa has moved their trials and OTCPBC has cancelled their two trial sets.
►Some trials have been rescheduled. DTCSP and DTCT have rescheduled trials for the first two weekends of June at the DTCSP facility. Since DACOF has been cancelled, Dog Obedience Club of Lee County rescheduled a trial for the weekend of June 26 at Bratty Paws. SOTC has rescheduled their trial for the weekend of October 16. A TDAA trial that was scheduled for the same weekend as the DTCT AKC trial in June at the DTCT facility has been rescheduled for August 16.
►The Golden Retriever Club of America National Speciality which was scheduled for October this year at the Ocala - World Equestrian Center has been delayed until 2021 since the site has cancelled all events until March 2021. Note, I have added a Q1 2020 construction update video to the WEC site page linked above.
►In non COVID-19 changes, Tailwaggers has moved their November trial to Fort Pierce (from Jim Brandon Equestrian Center). This move allowed Miami Obedience Club to move their trial out of the Thanksgiving weekend to the same weekend as Tailwaggers. This creates a potential of a seven trial weekend with four AKC events. Three of the AKC trials will be in the southern half of the state and other will be in Pensacola. Maybe Upper Suncoast will move their trial to Thanksgiving weekend to reduce the competition!
