The 2017 AKC Nationals will be held in the Eastern Time zone (location still pending contract signatures). The entry requirements have changed. The QQ requirement is now 7 (up from 5) and the MACH/PACH point requirement is now 550 (down from 600). Premier legs will now count towards the NAC requirements. Up to 3 Premier standard and 3 Premier JWW Qs can count for up to 3 QQs. Premier legs do not have to be earned at the same event. Every Premier Q will count 5 points towards the MACH/PACH point requirement for the purposes of the NAC.
One could conceivably earn all their QQs at the five day cluster at Perry, GA in January. They are having four days of Premier Standard and Jumpers on Thursday through Sunday. That is five days to earn regular QQs and four shots at earning Premier Standard and Premier JWW Qs.
